The moors around Darwen have long held public access, holding public footpaths for transport, walking for leisure, or travelling to work!

Nowadays, the moors still has numerous well-used footpaths, that are popular with locals and visitors from near and far to the West Pennine Moors. Darwen Tower remains as one of the local attractions that pulls walkers to the area.

There are various lengths of walks with various start and finish points that could take you past Darwen Tower. It does need to be noted that some physical effort is need to reach Darwen Tower as each route does have a relatively steep incline.
